The Lakewood Elks Lodge #1576 will support the Foundation again in 2006 with
a comedy show made up of well known, volunteer comics. Admission to
the show is one or more toys for our homeless kids. Please plan on
being there. It will be held on November 18, 2006 starting at 8:00 P.M.
and will be held at the Elk's Lodge
located at 12507 East Carson Street in Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716.
Bring lots of toys!! Thanks!!

The Bank of America has made a grant of $5,000.00 to the Foundation in
support of the 2006 Angels of Winter Program. This donation will be
used to purchase clothes and toys for the homeless children found in the Los
Angeles area. The Board of Directors wishes to acknowledge this
donation with its deepest appreciation and thanks.

Summer - 2006. Create The Magic of Giving was asked to support the
workers creating a new playground at Chernow House during the summer.
Cases of soft drinks were provided in support of the volunteers creating
this new playground. Chernow House is a long-term partner of the
foundation that takes homeless families off of our streets and providing
them with shelter, training for the parents and the like.

A
toy drive will be held at the Dolphin Bar located at 1995 Artesia Boulevard
in Redondo Beach, CA on December 10th starting at 7:00 P.M. Admission
is either a toy(s) valued at $10.00 or more or a free will donation of
$10.00. Santa will be there with candy and pictures will be taken of
guests sitting on his lap. A free buffet will also be served.

The Make a Star Foundation of Universal Studios has made a grant of
$5,000.00 to our Foundation in support of the 2005 Angels of Summer Program.
The Board has approved the use of a portion of this donation to purchase new
clothing for a number of homeless children returning to school in late
August and early September. Our thanks go out to Danny Gonzales and
the employees at Universal for their efforts in obtaining this grant.
Thanks also go to the Board of Directors of the Make A Star Foundation and
the management of Universal for caring about our large population of
homeless kids here in southern California.

Greetings! we want to wish each and every one of you a happy
2005. With the generosity of our volunteers and donors, we were able to
complete 2004 successfully and accomplish our mission. Let us not forget
that our work is so important to continue as there are more and more
homeless children in our community each year. Please make your commitments
to our Foundation to keep our work moving forward. Peace to you all.

Linda Corral was recently
honored by PaciciCare for her work with the Foundation by donating $300.00
to the Foundations Angels of Winter program. Linda has been an active
volunteer and board member for nearly 10 years now. Congratulations
Linda and thank you for your hard work. We also send thanks to
PacifiCare and its employees for their generosity!!

Ms. Lisa Crawford,
talented educator, writer and children's advocate of Redondo Beach was
elected to the Board of Directors at the August 13, 2005 board meeting!
Her skills are sorely needed and we expect that she will be a wonderful
addition and contributing member of the Board. Welcome aboard
Lisa!!
